Timing is everything. And in today’s property market, that’s never been more true. When to sell? When to buy? It’s a big call and the clock is ticking.
That’s why, from the 1st February, we’re back with New Zealand’s biggest and most exciting residential property auction event, the Big Call.
About the Big Call
Previous Big Call events have achieved exceptional results, with the majority of homes reaching or exceeding reserve. The nationwide campaign, Bayleys expert auction team and motivated vendors were major contributors to this success.
This February, the auction will be even bigger and better with a wide ranging advertising campaign to support it. We’re pulling out all the stops with print advertising, flyers, online advertising and more.
Why it’s good for vendors
One of the things that makes the Big Call so successful is the amount of support we provided to our vendors. Once again we will be providing hugely discounted advertising in the best publications to ensure you capitalise on this exceptional opportunity.
But the biggest advantage is the sheer volume of buyers that we can assemble in one place, at one time. Thanks to our nationwide advertising campaign online and in print we will bring hundreds of buyers to our auction room.
Why it’s good for buyers
The Big Call makes it easy for buyers to access multiple property auctions, all in one place.
What’s more, in an auction the result is immediate. In other sales methods, buyers have to wait hours or sometimes days to know if their bid has been successful. An auction allows the unsuccessful purchaser to move onto to another property – and the successful buyer to celebrate, there and then!
Bayleys Marlborough Auction Dates
At Bayleys Marlborough we like to get a head start on things, so we’ve already run our first auction for 2017 on 27th January. Two properties sold, with one far exceeding expectations. But, the good news is… We have three more opportunities coming up for you to sell your property by auction.
- 10th February
- 22nd February
- 3rd March
- 10th March
Three good reasons to consider selling by auction…
- The auction process places a time frame (usually a two to three week period) on the sale. This in turn instills urgency into the minds of the prospective purchasers.
- When a property is sold at auction, the sale is unconditional. A ten per cent deposit is paid and settlement date is pre-determined.
- Auction is the only way of creating open, transparent competition between buyers to drive the price upwards often exceeding the appraisal price.
