We think it’s fair to say that at Bayleys Marlborough we know a thing or two about selling homes. We have a dedicated team of agents with many years of real estate experience, and above all, we know people!
Selling real estate is all about building successful relationships, so it’s important to know what makes people tick. One of the things that makes our region so attractive as a place to live is its importance as a foodie heaven!
So in today’s blog post, we want to share a few ways that can help ensure your home appeals to foodies.
- Spice up your Kitchen – It doesn’t matter whether your cooking space is colossal or compact… A kitchen is always the heart of the home, and yet also one of the most expensive rooms to renovate. So the chances are you don’t want to embark on a major upgrade, including the kitchen sink (pardon the pun) just before you list your home. Check out this article from the archives for some tips on updating your kitchen on a budget. And if you’re kitchen is a compact cutie, this article from Houzz may have a few tips for you.
- Garden Delights – If you have a veggie garden or fruit trees, make sure that these are all well tended. If you don’t, think about adding a few pots. Some veggies will grow quite happily in containers.
- Satisfy their Senses – You may have heard the old adage that the smell of freshly baked bread or freshly brewed coffee can help to sell a home. We always advise that you get rid of stale cooking odours before an open home. But a pleasantly, inviting aroma can often make a house feel more like a home.
When our agents are selling homes, they can reassure any food and wine loving viewers that Marlborough is the place to be. We have a huge selection of cafes, restaurants and wineries to choose from, plus some fantastic foodie events.
